Geothermal Power Station

Iceland is an extremely active area for volcanos and one of the admirable things the Icelandic people have done is harness that energy. As we were doing on our tour the driver pointed out one of the plants that shoots water down into the earth where it immediately converts to steam. They produce electricity and hot water for their homes in this manner.
