House Sitting travel

Exciting News

For those of you who are curious about our travelling lifestyle, housesitting and how the current Covid-19 pandemic affects this type of lifestyle here is a great opportunity. Our friends at Travatical.com (the people we recently did an interview with) have done a panel discussion with several experienced travellers. Check it out at here.

Tony does a great job of moderating the discussion and for those with an interest in travel there is plenty to learn.

The other exciting news is that they are doing part 2 of the discussion this Sunday, the 19th and we are one of the panelists! Stay tuned for more information on links and times.

Stay safe.

Welcome to our travel blog. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to say, "I'm out of here?" Well we did, and in 2013 we made it a reality. We sold or gave away all of our possessions other than what fit in our luggage and we set off on an endless adventure. Part of our goal is to share our experiences with others and hopefully provide some information, motivation, or just a moments escape. The general idea was to look for a place that would be ideal to settle down in. However in the meantime it is about experiencing life in different countries amongst different cultures and learning how to understand and appreciate each other. A large part of our time is spent housesitting which provides an excellent opportunity to experience more of the "normal" neighbourhoods as opposed to the tourist locales. Though we make sure to enjoy those as well. So through plenty of photographs and a running commentary come and share with us our life on the road.

  1. Fascinating interview, sounds like the perfect life. We did almost exactly the same back in 2015 and have been travelling fulltime with lots of housesitting ever since. Bit tough currently as everything we had booked has been cancelled but it’s just a matter of seeing it out isn’t it? We’re staying down in Devon in England for a few months, where are you at the moment?

    • We were fortunate enough to be near family and friends in Alberta, Canada when this all started. We are hunkered down in Calgary waiting now.
