During our short stay in Vanuatu we chose to go scuba diving on four of the eight days we were there. Our non-diving perspective is here. It was an excellent decision. After Karen had researched Trip Advisor for information on the dive companies available we went with Big Blue Vanuatu.

Big Blue's Shop Front
Located right on the waterfront the dive shop had everything we needed. Mike and the rest of the crew were very patient and fun to dive with. As well, there was a great place to grab lunch right next door after you had finished your morning dives.
Dive Master Setting Up Gear
We rent our gear whenever we dive so having quality equipment is rather important to us. The gear at Big Blue was well maintained and we had no problems at all.
Ready to Dive
Karen about to enter the water for a dive on the wreck, Star of Russia.

We did eight different dive sites in the area of Port Vila. A couple of wrecks, Star of Russia and Semle. As well as plenty of fish and coral around Ifira Island and the west side of Mele Bay. The water temp was around 25C which made the shorty wetsuits more than enough to keep us at a comfortable temperature.

I did up a video to highlight some of the things we saw while under the water, Enjoy.

  3. Really beautiful video. You have a real talent for putting together a trip to the depths. Love the music too. Fascinating world under the sea.
